Moment of truth, picks for 4/3

Once again, good morning everyone (even it's just one person reading this, I still like to call you "everyone").

These past two days have been truly excellent for me, having 5/5, 5% picks going in, and only one pick lost (3% pick of under 2 goals, liverpool vs. sunderland, and Fulop should have caught that ball).

Today it's time to keep that flow going, carefully choosing my picks. The killers - Day&Age album presently coming out of my speakers, and I have to say (now that No line on the horizon is really crappy) that the killers have taken a big step towards becoming a world rockband, I hope the vegas boys will keep up their creating.

The first interesting game that comes to my eyes is the one between Manchester City - Aston Villa. I was at first going for a certain over in this game, however both Bellamy and Robinho are injured and can't play the game, that leaves only sturridge available (since both benjani and bojinov are injured). Sturridge is not the quality that is needed to score against villa.
Villa on the other hand have a full squad, heskey is in doubt but they have a replacement for him (which I think is a better player), and John Carew will probably start with full confidence after his beautiful goal against stoke.

Arguably, someone would say:"But city is a very good home side, hard to beat at city of manchester stadium". And I agree to a certain point, but look at the statistics, they've lost 5 times out of thirteen possible. Not one single draw so far, 8 wins and five losses. They have three straight wins in the premiership at home.

Aston villa is probably the best away team in the league, with 10 wins and just three losses.Seven straight wins from home is an magnificent result in a league as even as the premiership. That's why Villa will win this game, probably with one goal.

Secondly, this game (without Robinho and Bellamy) is a clear under game, aston villa play a counter attack play away from home, with not many goals scored. City without their top two scorers, are very toothless and this game will probably end in an under 2.5 goals.

My third pick is Fulham - Hull city, home win.
Hull is in a free fall at the moment with one point away from home in their last four games, and they are facing some major problems in their defence. They managed a 0-0 draw against chelsea, but that was with scolari (and coaching wasn't his best game), they actually played a pretty solid game creating some chances of their own. They've shown before that they can create good results away from home (2-2 against liverpool @ anfield, 2-1 against Arsenal @emirates) but those times are gone now. Hull, if they don't increase their point grabbing-pace, will be relegated.

Today they're facing a very strong homeside at the craven cottage. Fulham are unbeaten for nine games at home, with only two draws and seven wins. That is amazing considering their small squad and the actual quality of the players. They sold Jimmy Bullard, best player of the season, to hull. Bullard is now long term injured, and won't make a happy return to the cottage.

Fulham has a full squad, with no new injuries, and will probably win this fight.

My last pick is between Tottenham - Middlesbrough, a draw.

Tottenham are having their worst season ever, and when they signed H.Redface as their manager things have just stayed the same, nothing has really happened. They have a good squad, however not functioning together, not being able to create some good football. They have 2 draws in their last four games at home, and really having some acute problems of scoring. Last game they had a late winner by the head of Woodgate against Hull away from home.
Middlesbrough beat Liverpool at home with an impressive 2-0 win. They had some excellent defending, and their manager Southgate, former english international defenceman, have really had the defence as his primary agenda. They play a counter attack style football away from home. They will come to white hart (tart) lane with the intention of defending well, creating a few chances and hopefully capitolising on any of them. However I think that this game will result in a draw, 0-0 or possibly 1-1 as the outcome. Tottenham will own the ball but will probably not penetrate the strong brough defence more than a few times. With their goalscoring capabilities at the moment, I just find it hard to see anything else than a few goal game, with the biggest chance on a draw.

For the same reasons I am going for the under in this game.

Aston Villa away win, 2.62 @Bet 365 5%
Under 2.5 goals 1.80 @Bet 365 5%
Fulham home win, 1,715@Bet 365 5%

Tottenham - Middlesbrough DRAW, 3,40 @Bet 365 %
Tottenham - Middlesbrough under 2.5 goals, 1,70 @Bet 365 5%

Good luck to you all, and remember;

If you're not in it, you can't win it
